Cancellations for any reason require a one week notice and incur a 10% service charge. Once your order is received there are no cash or credit refunds. If the order is confirmed with less than a weeks notice, there are no cancelations.
It depends on the cake design. Our cakes are served on a cake tray. Usually we will write the message on the tray below the cake. For sculpted cakes, we prefer not to write the message on the cake itself with buttercream because it could get sloppy if not on a flat surface of the cake. Round cakes usually can fit a small message ontop of the cake but they are also served on a tray that a message can be added to.
We tried. We carefully packaged our cakes and shipped them with cooler packs. It had about a 50% success rate. The cake will get to you fresh but might get damaged during the shipping. (Those FedEx workers don’t always follow the instructions on our box: “This side up” or “Handle with care”)
We recommend going to your local bakery with one of our pictures and asking them if they can make the cake.

If you really want us to ship you a cake, we will but we can not make any promises that FedEx will listen.
It really depends on the design of the birthday cake and our schedule. We would like to have the order for extremely ornate cakes 1 month in advance. We can have many fondant cake designs ready for you with less than 3 days notice. Even if you left it to the last day to order a birthday cake, we have smaller birthday cakes in stock for you.
Delivery in NYC can also be a problem to schedule on short notice.
